MaxAir, need I say more!! Definitely worth the price of admission. I can see daylight through those jugs!!

You can see that it sits under the tank. The MaxAir allows so much more leg room than the stock one did.

You can barely see the idle relocation at the upper left corner. Looks a lot better without the idle adjuster between the jugs!!

The idle adjuster at the base of the jugs just doesn't look right! It could just be painted black on a black motor, and it would disappear.

On a beautiful silver motor though, it just needs to be gone, but where to? Now, that's what I'm talkin about!!

OK, so that's where it needs to be!. I like it! Easy to adjust at the traffic light for that cool lope to impress others, and still be able to adjust idle back up after you blast outta there.

The 4 pix above show where I mounted the idle adjuster. I used the stock idle adjuster bracket. I drilled the backing plate, then bolted the idle adjuster and bracket to the MaxAir backing plate with one bolt. You can see the bolt in thelower left corner.  Now it is out of sight, and idle adjuster is easy to get to on the fly.

MaxAir Preformed Filter Side View.jpg (45711 bytes) MaxAir_Preformed_Filter 2.jpg (25379 bytes)
MaxAir preformed  filter with the backing, and chromed steel mesh cover. The MaxAir filters are reuseable. Just clean, reoil, let drip dry, and reuse. I can't say enough about this filter. I ride in the rain, and have been in several all day down pours with it, 70 mph with water coming from all sides, and no water ever got through. It just keeps on working!

Do yourself a favor, and get an extra preformed air filter. I like to change out my air filter when I change my engine oil. Trouble is, I don't always want to take the time to get filter ready to reuse. If you have an extra one, you'll always have one ready to swap out. Just put the cleaned and oiled filter in a zip lock bag, with a couple small holes in it for air circulation, and you'll be good to go at next regularly scheduled maintenance.

Uhhh, unless you stash the dirty filter back, and forget about it, then you'll just have to clean two at once, and wait for them both to dry out a bit before you can take that ride... Maybe I should get a third MaxAir preformed filter!
